iphone_1.1.3_sms_bug_01 * Sending messages to myself, all appears well (A-A, B-B).
Note the messages are all sent withing a few seconds of receiving the previous one. * 3648 x 2736 * (7.31MB)
iphone_1.1.3_sms_bug_02 * Continuation of test to myself (B-B, C-C).
So far it's all behaving correctly, toggling between outbound and inbound messages in the correct order. * 3648 x 2736 * (6.72MB)
iphone_1.1.3_sms_bug_03 * ALL WRONG!
After clicking Messages in the top left and then re-viewing the same messages just sent to myself it changes the order and it's all gone wrong now (A-B-C, A-B-C).
So there is definitely an SMS sorting bug with 1.1.3 * 3648 x 2736 * (6.35MB)

iphone_1.1.3_sms_bug_04 * As I predicted this is to do with timestamps of SMS sent/received and with several people stating that after setting iPhone time manually to precise GMT time it worked I tried that, so here's the as it should be screen before backing out to all messages and re-entering. * 3648 x 2736 * (6.69MB)
iphone_1.1.3_sms_bug_05 * Now it's wrong again but the the reverse order to before! So I conclude that my iPhone clock was a minute so slow before hand making all my sent messages appear at the top (oldest), and now my iPhone clock must be slightly ahead of GMT by up to 30seconds (since we can't set seconds on iPhone) hence my sent messages appear at the bottom even though they were sent first. * 3648 x 2736 * (6.75MB)
